Week ten of the renovations at the farm! It was a slow week, but ended strong with the digging of the waste trench in the main courtyard. I also harvest my olives this week and experience my first olive press in Portugal. We experience our first week of frost as the nights and days get ever colder. The end of the renovation project is in sight as I get the final timeline to completion!

About Girl Meets Farm:
I'm Christine. I started this journey in search of my forever farm in Portugal, and now I have found it!
This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.
Now that we have found our farm, the second stage of our journey begins!
I have to figure out farm life while renovating an agricultural structure to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.
Thank you for joining our journey!
