Week eleven of the renovations at the farm! It was another slow week and my stress levels went through the roof. Things got moving on some days with highlights including getting power and lights and also the septic system installed! But also experienced some big disappointments on discovering that cement just doesn't cure the way I know around here, and that we may need to relook the roof due to possible further leaks.

About Girl Meets Farm:
I'm Christine. I started this journey in search of my forever farm in Portugal, and now I have found it!
This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.
Now that we have found our farm, the second stage of our journey begins!
I have to figure out farm life while renovating an agricultural structure to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.
Thank you for joining our journey!
