Join me for a calm and relaxing walk through my farm in June ´23 to show how things have changed during the last month with the fruit trees, veggie garden, olives and vineyard, and what I'm up to with the agriculture!
I had to leave the farm for 2 weeks and on my return came back to an overgrown farm, some monster veggies and a fully productive farm!
The growth has been unprecedented and the weeds completely took over.
The veggie garden (tomatoes, peppers, zucchinis, pumpkin and watermelon) was completely overgrown and I had to do a lot of weeding to even find the veggies, but they are all still growing and I've harvested some zucchini already.
Unfortunately my peach trees have been infested by some bug and sadly it looks like there will be no peaches for me this year.

About Girl Meets Farm:
I'm Christine, a South African expat now living in Portugal.
This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.
The third stage of our journey begins now!
I'm still figuring out farm life, and while the larger renovation of the agricultural structure is now complete, I will continue renovating the interior to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.
Thank you for joining our journey!
