LYRICS:
My home
Is a girl with eyes like wishing wells
I'm not alone
But I'm still lone, lonely
When I was young
Always go below the midnight sun
Those days are done
But I'm still glowing
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
A lie, oh well
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
With that soul to sell
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
My home
Is a girl who can't wait for time to tell
God only knows
We don't need history
When your family
Swinging from the branches of a tree
God only knows
We don't need ghost stories
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
A lie, oh well
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
With that soul to sell
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
Ooh I can't believe it
Nothing's gonna comfort me now
Ooh I can't believe it
Nothing's gonna comfort me now
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
A lie, oh well
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
Ooh la la la la la
Let's live in the moment
Come back Sunday morning
With that soul to sell
When you're gone
Goodbye, so long, farewell
Oh my god I can't believe my eyes
Wake up everybody you know
Come and watch the garden grow
I'll see you when you get there
Oh my god I can't believe my eyes
Wake up everybody you know
Come and watch the garden grow
I'll see you when you get there
I'll see you when you get there
I'll see you when you get there
DESCRIPTION:
I am an Illustrator who enjoys making colourful pieces based on the daily life of different places, since my main focus is cultural acknowledgment.
I make research about the area and then create a character to use as base to illustrate the daily life of the place.
While my main focus is South America since is my birth region and the one I`m most concerned on giving a good promotion, I got inspired to get outside my confort zone and improvised a mini read on the Inuits.
That said, I gave this character an Inupiaq background but my followers on Instagram voted her to represent Alaska as a whole, so I`ll be further using her when reading more about the place.
Her name is Tapeesa, an Inupiaq-Alaskan woman whose name means "Artic Flowers" and works as a proffesional photographer and survival instructor.
Since my creating methology is about strictely using local hints, of course I accompanied the video with a song from a local band. Portugal The Man is currently on top music records with their album Woodstock and you surely know them from their main hit "Feel it Still", but personally, I like this song more.
Finally, for the background I used a reference from an actual place, called Denali, the highest mountain of North America at 6190 mts and located at the Denali National Park at the centre-south of the State.
