A vivid blue fireball meteor recently illuminated the night sky over Spain and Portugal, captivating numerous onlookers who shared photos and videos of the spectacular event online. These videos showed the meteor brightening the sky for a few seconds before disappearing. Despite the widespread sharing, there has been no official confirmation of the meteor sighting. According to NASA, about 48.5 tons of meteoritic material fall to Earth daily, with many of these materials vaporizing in the atmosphere and appearing as 'shooting stars.'
