(27 Mar 2015) Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho was welcomed to Tokyo on Friday by his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.
The two prime ministers held at a meeting at which Coelho said he hoped the two countries could establish a partnership.
Coelho was invited to Japan last year when Abe visited Portugal.
It's the first visit by a Portuguese premier to Japan in 25 years.
