In this episode I start pruning the vines in preparation of Spring! Some fruit trees have already started sprouting buds and blossoms. I also start a little clean-up on the overgrowth, start an official language programme offered by the government for my A1 & A2 Portuguese language certificates as part of my D7 visa and Shiva has his second acupuncture treatment in Lisbon. A busy week, but one spent on the agriculture, and life admin and sadly not renovation. All things important though, in the life of an expat.

About Girl Meets Farm:
I'm Christine, a South African expat now living in Portugal.

This is my adventure as a solo expat on a farm in Central Portugal with my two fur-kids, Shakti & Shiva.
I've never owned or lived on a farm, but moved to Portugal in the hope of fulfilling a life-long dream of finding open space, subsistence farming and a safer, better life.

The third stage of our journey begins now!
I'm still figuring out farm life, and while the larger renovation of the agricultural structure is now complete, I will continue renovating the interior to make it habitable and turn it into a comfortable home for me and my furkids.

Thank you for joining our journey!
