A typical winter morning here on our off-grid property in Central Portugal!
We’re currently busy preparing the move to Miracle Mountain, which means the mornings here are slightly different as the chickens aren’t free roaming as usual but are kept safe in their enclosed enclosure - so time is spent making sure they’ve got food and greens to work on throughout the day.
Our goats have a permanent enclosure attached to their portable fencing so at the moment they’ve got ample grazing which they’re loving during the day ☀️
Tartaruga would spend the day basking in the sun, I filmed this before she unexpectedly passed away. To say it was a heartbreak is an understatement - we found her the day I left hospital. She was my recovery buddy, she spent weeks in the vets having surgery to allow her shell to heal. I’d clean her every day, applying ointment to her open side that was below the prosthetic. Her shell had began growing back. She had regular vet check-ups. Unfortunately we have no idea how old she was, it seems she came into our lives during the final few months of hers. We miss her terribly ???? ????
And the cats, well the cats stay in bed like the royalty they are ????
